TradeWinds has learned from Mumbai-based offshore sources that nearly 26 companies are in the race for the contract, with around 160 vessels offered in.

ONGC floated international tenders in February to hire a dozen 1,500-dwt offshore support vessels (OSVs) and six anchor-handlers involving a mix of 150-tonne-bollard-pull (tbp), 120-tbp and 80-tbp units, as well as two 3,000-dwt platform supply vessels (PSVs), all for up to five years.
