In a deal mirroring Sinokor’s newbuilding haul with Shell on medium-range (MR) vessels concluded under the 50-ship “Project Silver” working title, the South Korean owner is rumoured to have stepped in to the space vacated by Oman Shipping Co under the similarly coded “Project Oval”.
Brokers say a deal for four firm vessels plus a similar number of optional slots could be signed as early as next week on the newbuildings.
