The company confirmed the purchase of the 166,100-dwt suezmax Ariadni (built 2009) from compatriot Liquimar, as reported by TradeWinds last week. The price is understood to have been about $56.5m. Delta will trade the ship as Delta Sky.
Diamantis Diamantides-controlled Delta is also taking delivery of two 149,900-dwt newbuildings — the Hyundai Samho-built Delta Maria has been already incorporated into the company’s fleet, according to the company’s website, while the similar-size Delta Eurydice is scheduled for delivery this month.
