A source familiar with the deal identifies Polish Steamship Co (Polsteam) as the owner behind the order for the two 36,500-dwt newbuildings at the Singapore-listed yard.
The contract brings the tally of such vessels Polsteam has on order at the yard to six.
“These two newbuildings are option units that Polsteam held at Yangzijiang when it signed up for the earlier four vessels this year,” said the source.
