Seoul-based Sinokor Merchant Marine is said to have concluded a third charter contract with energy major Shell that involves up to eight long-range-one (LR1) tanker newbuildings.
Sinokor, which currently does not own any LR1s, has signed up for four firm 74,000-dwt products tankers, plus four options, at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding (STX O&S) for delivery in 2017 at $47m apiece.
