A congressional inquiry into the Petrobras bribery scandal has taken aim at the shipbuilding sector — both at home and abroad — for allegedly paying bribes to secure contracts from the government-controlled oil major.

A recently approved report by the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) created to investigate the scandal calls for investigation into the companies that are shareholders in a large swathe of the Brazilian shipbuilding sector, including three Asian players with stakes in yards in the country.
