In August, the Hyundai-built ship was said to have been sold to the Greek owner for $37m. Online platform VesselsValue.com says it is now worth $32.4m. Now the vessel has been picked up by US-listed Diana Shipping for just $28.5m, or 23% less than three months ago.
Neither Peter Borup, president of Lauritzen Bulkers, nor Marmaras would comment on the matter.
