Greece’s Attica Group has joined the queue of players seeking to offer ferry services between the US and Cuba, in a bid to expand outside its recession-hit home country.
The company secured authorisation from the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac) in July to offer such services. Attica is now in the process of obtaining regulatory and other permits from the Cuban government, it said in a statement.
