Lone Alpha newbuilding signs in on Sabine Pass

Midweek electronic-position data shows the 160,000-cbm newbuilding Energy Atlantic to be off the Malaysian coastline.

The ship is listed as due to arrive at Sabine Pass on 12 January.

New wave of US exports

All eyes are on the start-up of Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG project in Louisiana as it represents the first of a new wave of US LNG exports.

The Energy Atlantic is one of five ships chartered in by Cheniere and its delivery marks the Greek owner’s entry into LNG shipowning.
