The Namura-built, 73,000-dwt Daebo Trader (built 2002) is now committed to an undisclosed buyer for $5.5m. Two months ago, Greek owner Cyprus Sea Lines was said to have clinched a deal to buy the ship for $7.5m but no deal materialised and it came back onto the market.
The Daebo Trader turned out to be quite an ill-timed acquisition for Daebo, which bought the ship from Greek owner Marmaras Navigation as Theodoros P in August 2007 for a full $71.2m.
