The Middle Eastern nation never really left the LPG export market as it continued to ship to China. Indeed, Iran’s LPG exports during the first eight months of 2015 were estimated to be 2.8 million tonnes, mostly going to China, with smaller volumes heading to India and Pakistan.
That level would put Iran close to its estimated pre-sanctions export levels when the country exported four million tonnes of LPG per year, with most of those volumes going to Europe and South Korea.
