Andrew Garcia has parted ways with Minnesota-based Pine River Capital to join the business of Phillip Radziwill, the first cousin of shipping magnate Peter Livanos, according to New York finance sources.
Garcia had been with Pine River since January 2008. During that time, the hedge fund had taken positions in several public shipowners, including Scorpio Tankers, Scorpio Bulkers, Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) and Teekay Tankers.
