Vessel victims of the shipping crisis have started gathering at Greece’s Elefsina anchorage area. Seven ships have been laid up there since December, with five of them joining the queue in January alone. All of them are understood to be in cold layup.
The accelerating pace of the idlings speaks volumes about the depressed state of the dry bulk and boxship freight markets.
