Auckland-based Polynesian Shipping Line (PSL) and Pacific Forum Line (PFL) have merged their liner operations between Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands.

Merger follows takeover

The move comes four months after PSL was taken over by Neptune Pacific Line (NPL), a Sydney-based, US-owned company that controls PSL in partnership with the government of Samoa.

The merged company will be run as a single operation under the PFL banner.
