Reederei Nord is forming a new container shipping pool comprising 16 eco-feederships.
The pool will comprise 16 Topaz-type vessels of 1,700 teu contracted by the German owner in China together with US private-equity funds AMA Capital and Wayzata Investment Partners.
It is part of a growing focus on pooling by the German owner, which last week emerged as a partner in a new panamax and kamsarmax pool formed with Active Shipping and the founders of Global Maritime Investments (GMI).
