Car-carrier operators serving Japanese automobile makers are bracing themselves for a drop in cargo volume after a series of earthquakes struck the southern Japanese Kyushu Island of Kumamoto, a major car manufacturing hub.
Toyota, the world largest automaker by sales, is said to be the hardest hit after the two strongest quakes struck on Thursday and Saturday, killing 48 and damaging thousands of buildings.
