Coronis family-controlled Primebulk bought the Hyundai Samho-built, 75,200-dwt Nordrhine (built 2001) from Reederei Nord for $3.8m, according to reliable market sources.
The cost of the vessel, which is due for special survey in September this year, is just above its estimated $4m scrap value.
In quick succession, Primebulk also purchased the Hyundai-built, 74,800-dwt Alexandra (built 2001). Previously owned by Carras Hellas, it cost $4.3m.
