The tonnage provider is said to have ordered two 1,100-teu vessels at Kyokuyo Shipyard. Delivery is slated for November 2017 and February 2018.
Kotoku owns a fleet of 24 vessels ranging from 556 teu to 1,103 teu.
The order marks a return to the yard, which earlier delivered the 1,100-teu Ultima (built 2013) and Optima (built 2011) to the company.
The design has proven popular with Asian owners, who have taken delivery of 10 feederships from Kyokuyo since 2011.
