Passengers flying out of Singapore who happen to glance out the aircraft windows will have a bird’s eye view of the sorry state of the shipping industry.

The flight path will take them across the Johor River, which at the moment is full of out-of-work offshore and commercial shipping assets.

The river’s shallow waters make it an ideal location to lay up rigs and smaller offshore vessels.
