The North Sea’s floating rigs have already suffered a “nasty nosedive” because of the offshore downturn but there is clear potential for more units to lose work in the near term, says the world’s largest shipbroker.
At the start of this month, 48 floating rigs were active out of the 52 total available. The working utilisation declined to 67%, according to the latest research from Clarksons.
