The partners have secured three vessels from German owner Conti Reederei and a fourth from Greek owner Diana Containerships at a bargain rate of between $5,500 and $6,500 per day.
The vessels will be deployed on an upgraded service to be launched on 5 July using the 5,932-teu Conti Basel (built 2003), which has been chartered to Arkas for eight to 12 months at a reported $6,500 per day.
