Asian Bulkers, in which Astrup has a 25% stake and of which his company, Seabulk, is managing owner, booked a NOK 247m ($30m) loss in 2015. Astrup says he is not too worried about the results, saying the stake was written down to just NOK 1 several years ago. “The loss means nothing to us,” he said.

The company’s three supramaxes form one of the few shipping projects left in Astrup’s portfolio.
