It is not just the UK that is sailing towards a break-up but also the world’s biggest container shipping company, AP Moller-Maersk.

On the day the Brits went to the polls to vote themselves out of the European Union (EU), Maersk unveiled its own potential restructuring.

Unlike the UK, the Danish plan is only a proposal but it is fair to assume that something radical will happen to Maersk given a new chief executive started this week and his first big job is to consider whether the business needs to be split into smaller chunks.

It
