Shipowners and charterers calling on US dry bulk ports are having to scramble for new agents because of a dispute between a major US agency and terminal operator.
T Parker Host (TPH), the largest ship agent for dry bulk vessel calls in the US, filed a federal complaint against logistics firm Kinder Morgan, one of the biggest terminal operators in the US, alleging the latter unfairly barred TPH from handling ships at its Atlantic and Gulf Coast terminals.
