The Norwegian outfit has in the past few years taken a number of tankers on time charter and has now, according to sources, fixed the Italian-controlled, 50,000-dwt Miss Benedetta (built 2012) for six months trading at a low $14,750 per day.
Last month, Frontline sold its six owned MR tankers to Ardmore for $173m enbloc. Fredriksen still has two MR tankers on commercial management.
