Spanish electricity utility Endesa has gone out to LNG shipowners asking them to submit proposals for the provision of up to three LNG carriers against term-charter business.
Sources following enquiries say Endesa has asked for offers on newbuildings or LNG carriers built from 2014 onwards. They say this would likely induce offers on vessels already on order.
Endesa is said to be offering charter-hire periods of up to 15 years against the ships.
