The owner has acquired the 176,000-dwt Zosco Jiaxing and Zosco Shaoxing (both built 2009) for $14.9m each from Chinese capesize owner Zhejiang Ocean Shipping (Zosco), according to broking reports.
A Zosco official declines to comment on the sales, while Sinokor did not respond to requests for feedback.
One shipping player says Zosco has been trying to sell the capesizes for a few months and that they will be delivered to Sinokor by September.
