The company is behind the acquisition of the 56,000-dwt supramax Santa Elena (renamed New Kosmos, built 2005), confirms managing director Aris Batayiannis. The previously Japanese-run ship changed hands for $6.8m.
The vessel was initially reported to have gone to SR Shipping of Bangladesh but reference sources confirm it is now under New Vision’s management.
Piraeus-based New Vision first registered with Greek authorities in August 2014.
