Greek shipowner Victor Restis is lining up a return to the suezmax tanker market with a double newbuilding order likely to be worth in excess of $110m.

Restis-backed Enterprises Shipping and Trading (EST) has shortlisted two to three shipyards for the business, including Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), which sports the world’s largest tanker orderbook.

Shipyard sources claim Restis has signed a letter of intent for two 158,000-dwt tankers with HHI.
