Oslo-based shipbroker Fearnleys is ramping up its dry bulk operations following a takeover and new hires.

Fearnleys is acquiring compatriot dry cargo broker Lehmar while recruiting several staff from Howe Robinson and Wallem, strengthening its presence in Asia.

Fearnleys managing director Kristian Sorensen confirms the move and says the broking firm aims to consolidate the broking scene.

Fearnleys will have a staff of 50 on the dry cargo side of the business, split between brokers and operations.
