Sea trials have kicked off for the first $360m Arc7-type LNG carrier newbuilding for Russia’s upcoming Yamal LNG project.
The 172,600-cbm Christophe de Margerie left DSME’s Okpo Shipyard in South Korea on 26 August and is scheduled to be at sea until 8 September.
The vessel is then due to return to the yard for cool-down operations before gas trials begin.
