The Cool Pool nudges up fleet of LNG carriers

The Cool Pool, LNG shipping’s longest-running pooling venture, is increasing its fleet as the venture prepares to mark its first anniversary next month.

The Cool Pool head Tony Lauritzen tells TradeWinds that the grouping will have 18 LNG carriers under its wing by October.

These are believed to comprise three vessels provided by Greek shipowner Dynagas, of which Lauritzen is also chief executive, five of GasLog’s LNG carriers and 10 vessels from Golar LNG, suggesting the latter two owners have added two ships each.
