Pakistan National Shipping Corp (PNSC)’s 53,000-dwt bulker Hyderabad (built 2004) has spent the past two weeks under arrest off South Africa’s Port Elizabeth.
The ship is the unwitting victim of a legal dispute that did not involve its owner.
The arrest application was submitted by a Singaporean shipping company seeking payment or guarantee for a $14m claim it filed against Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM).
