That was the take from investment bankers on a panel at Capital Link’s annual New York Maritime Forum this week.
The point was raised by panel moderator Brian Devine, partner in the New York office of Norton Rose Fulbright.
Some funds would appear to be nearing the end of the original time horizon on their investments, he suggested, and would like some sort of exit at a time when the initial public offering market is closed to shipping.
