AP Moller-Maersk chief executive Soren Skou drew inspiration from Kelly Clarkson as he shared key lessons from last summer’s cyber attack at the company’s capital markets day in Copenhagen.

Addressing analysts and the press at the city’s opera house, Skou said the attack had been “extremely painful and expensive” and was “by all means a horrible experience”.

“Kelly Clarkson has a pop song, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” Skou said.
