Historic Norwegian shipowner Arendals Dampskibsselskab (ADS) has entered the VLCC market in a move backed by cash from a private placement.
New vehicle ADS Crude Carriers is the latest new name to be attracted to the big tanker sector during the present downturn.
ADS Crude has raised $58m from a private placement to help support the purchase of three VLCCs.
