HFW managing partner Marcus Bowman is retiring after 30 years at the global law firm.
He is being replaced by Jeremy Shebson following an internal election. Richard Crump has been re-elected as senior partner.
Their terms will begin on 1 April, when they will manage more than 600 lawyers across shipping, insurance and other sectors.
Shebson is a partner in the global aerospace group and a member of the firm's global strategy board.
