One-third of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions originate from just 2,000 boxships, or less than one-tenth of the global fleet, ­according to a paper issued this month by five researchers led by Dimitrios Lyridis, an associate professor of naval architecture and marine engineering at the National Technical University of Athens.
