The £26m ($42m) contract forms part of the redevelopment of container berths 201/202 at the Port of Southampton on the UK south coast.
ABP says the investment will enable Southampton to continue to handle the growing number of ultra large container vessels (ULCCs).
The cranes will fabricated at Liebherr’s factory in Ireland before being shipped to Southampton for assembly on site.
Once operational, the cranes will be able to handle ULCCs of 24 containers wide and will have a lift capacity of 65t.
