The capesize market has taken a timeout from its spring bull run after rates racked up a 25.6% weekly increase.
Closing in on three-and-a-half month highs, the average spot rate on the Baltic Exchange slipped slightly overnight by 0.2% to $20,514 per day.
This is up from last Tuesday’s $16,328 per day and has soared by 218% over the past month.
