Cobelfret has sold a third capesize in less than a year as it continues to trim its bulker fleet.
US brokers said the Belgian bulker, ro-ro and ports company has sold the 176,000-dwt Lowlands Orchid (built 2005) to an undisclosed buyer for $15.9m.
The Universal Shipbuilding-constructed Lowlands Orchid is due for special survey in October next year.
The price is slightly lower than what a similar Japanese-built ship, the 177,000-dwt Aristofanis 1 (built 2005), fetched in September, when it sold for nearly $16.6m.
