Diana Shipping has fixed yet another vessel to trader Cargill International, yet at a lower rate paid by the previous charterer.
The Semiramis Paliou-led owner of 41 bulkers has entered into a time charter contract with Cargill for 93,194-dwt post-panamax Alcmene (built 2010) for about 13 months to maximum 15 months.
The gross charter rate is $4,000 per day for the first 60 days of the charter period and $8,500 per day for the balance period of the charter, which began Thursday.
