Finland’s ESL Shipping has declared an option to build another hybrid electric bulker newbuilding in India.
The company’s subsidiary AtoB@C Shipping has added a seventh 5,300-dwt ship to a series of six ordered last year at Chowgule & Company.
The first two of the new generation of energy-efficient vessels are already under construction, and the planned delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.
