Uruguay's navy has detained four stowaways that threatened the crew of a Greek bulker.
The Nigerian men had boarded Technomar Shipping's 58,000-dwt Friederike (built 2001) in Lagos, the Montevideo Portal website reported.
The vessel sent a distress call on Saturday morning to the navy.
A frigate was sent the scene and troops neutralised the men, securing control of the vessel for the captain.
