Chinese shipowner Ningbo Zrich Shipping has reportedly acquired two modern supramax bulkers in little over a month, TradeWinds has learnt.

The low-profile company has now taken its spending on similar sized bulkers to close to $50m with five deals since June, says VesselsValue.

On Monday, Indonesian owner Samudera Shipping confirmed that Ningbo Zrich had acquired the 57,334-dwt bulker Sinar Kapuas (built 2011).
