Japanese shipowner NYK Line has reportedly sold a 10-year-old capesize at the highest price for a ship of that age since 2018.

A Greek buyer is said to have snapped up the 181,352-dwt Frontier Island (built 2011) for $25.3m or $25.5m, against a background of increasing sale-and-purchase deals and resurgent bulker markets.

Greek brokers said a potential buyer was Andreas Hadjiyannis' Cyprus Sea Lines, which has a 2006-built capesize among a fleet of smaller bulkers and containerships.
