The threat of hefty fees for China-built vessels at US ports is turning bulker buyers towards tonnage built in Japan, according to the chief executive of Pacific Basin Shipping.
Shipping is due to receive greater clarity on the potential fees on Thursday, when the US Trade Representative (USTR) is due to announce its plan.
