Panamax rates have been ramping up slowly following a sluggish period.
The market had remained lethargic over the past few weeks, amid a lack of fresh demand, due to Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations in Asia.
However, activity has seen somewhat of a resurgence in recent days as the holiday period ends, with both freight forward agreements and indexes showing a noticeable recovery, BRS Shipbrokers indicated.
