Greece’s Pavimar, so far a busy buyer of drybulk tonnage, is reported to have joined the ranks of sellers.

London brokers say the Ismini Panayotides-led company has sold the 181,000-dwt Mairaki (built 2011) to an unidentified Greek peer for $27.5m.

Pavimar took over the STX-Offshore-built Mairaki from Greece's Empire Bulkers almost two years ago. No details of an actual transaction had emerged when the ship's management changed hands then.

Its estimated value at the time was about $5m lower than the price at which it is reportedly sold now.
