Russia’s Norilsk Nickel is planning alternative shipping routes for its nickel exports.

The world’s biggest producer, which is also a shipowner, fears European ports could be closed to bulkers bringing in the nickel.

Portnews reported the group’s director of logistics, Ravil Nasybullov, telling the Eastern Economic Forum that contingency plans include possible transshipment to North African ports.
